SKYCITY Hotels are excited to partner with Queenstown Resort College for the first time. This is a very positive move to support NZ students studying hospitality management and to also build SKYCITY’s brand as an employer of choice for graduates. QRC is New Zealand’s premier Tourism & Hospitality Management College. A focus on professionalism, continuous improvement and positive outcomes underpins the culture. QRC has a reputation for producing industry-specific management graduates who are the employees of first choice.
Sam Sherer, SKYCITY Hotel Manager has initiated and formalised this relationship following previous successful industry relationships with the college. Recently appointed to the QRC advisory board, Sam joins other high level industry representatives to critique the relevancy and delivery of the courses and programmes.
SKYCITY Hotel currently has two students completing their 9 month industry placements. The hotels are committed to providing a high value employment experience to ensure they leave with knowledge, skills and a passion for SKYCITY, hoping they come back as graduates.
