How long have you been in your current role?
I have been working in my current role for more than two years.
And what other roles have you held at SKYCITY?
I've worked in Food and Beverage, as an F&B Waiter for the 24/7 employee restaurant and Observatory. I've also been a Communications Room Operator for our Surveillance department.
So how long (in total) have you worked at SKYCITY?
I've been with SKYCITY for five and a half years.
Can you briefly describe your current role?
As a Service Desk Analyst we provide support for basic incident resolution and requests reported to the Group ICT Service Desk.
We deal with Internal staff and external customers at the core – support the delivery of a customer-centric SKYCITY; Focus on what customers value, support the sustainability and growth of the business.
What do you enjoy most about your current role?
I enjoy communicating with our service desk users and assisting them with their ICT related queries with the end result of resolving their issues and making them happy.
What did you do before you joined SKYCITY?
I was working in Risk Management Unit in State Bank of India, Bangladesh
What do you enjoy about working at SKYCITY?
I like that it feels like I am working with an extended family.
What would you say to anyone considering joining your team or applying for a job like yours?
You have to have a real desire to help people and works ‘with’ and not ‘for’ the customers; real respect for the customer. You'll also need to take on a positive and optimistic approach to problem-solving.

I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and have been living in Auckland Since May 2012
What do you do outside of work?
I play social football league and recently won Silver medal in World Masters Games, Auckland.
I am also an NZ based Travel entrepreneur and a 100% Pure New Zealand Gold Specialist.
