Our pastry team have been at it again, designing and handcrafting an amazing Medieval Easter display for the SKYCITY Grand Hotel.
Made largely out of rich chocolate and handcrafted with meticulous care, the team created a medieval dragon boat filled to the brim with chocolate eggs, a castle with a moat, and cute characters.
The team spent the last two weeks putting together the display with many hours melting and moulding 70kg of chocolate. Just like with our Christmas display, this display was a joint effort including both the carpentry and engineering teams who helped with the base structure, lighting and more to bring the display to life.
A big thank you to everyone in the pastry team including Lisa Crowe, Christian Lang and especially project lead Rebecca Zheng. Thanks also to Chef Martin Kindleysides and Carpenter Frank van der Kolk for helping to pull the display together.
