Last week, Carmen Leong of our SKYCITY Grand Hotel competed in the annual AICR Hotel Receptionist of the Year competition where she came first runner-up in the North Island region!
AICR (Amicale Internationale des Sous Directeurs et Chefs de Réception des Grand Hôtels) is the international association for deputy managers and front office managers of luxury hotels. Each year, they run competitions to find the world’s best luxury hotel receptionist.
Carmen will now compete in the National competition and represent SKYCITY Grand Hotel, where if she wins, she’ll have the opportunity to travel to London to compete against other hotels from around the world!
She will be in front of a well-respected judging panel from other hotels and will be placed in a role play situation with actors to showcase her problem-solving and multi-tasking skills as well as her exceptional guest services. Well done Carmen and good luck in your upcoming competition!
