Ben - Finance Administrator, SKYCITY Hamilton

I’m Ben from Team Finance. My role here is Finance Administrator, which for the most part is auditing our weekly F&B results, invoicing customers, and handling manager’s certificates. I first started work with SKYCITY in 2008, spending several years as an F&B attendant at The Bowlevard, and then as a Cashier, before finally settling into my current role. During my early years with SKYCITY, I was studying at the University of Waikato – initially Accounting, but then shifting my majors to English Literature and Japanese. The things I learned over those years, and the experience I gained through working in F&B and Cashiers, have translated well into the work that I do now.

For my part, the step up to Finance has given me a deeper insight into how things operate here, and how all the smaller functions work towards a greater whole. I would fully recommend pursuing a career with SKYCITY to those who are still open to learning.
